Planning Update December 2025

Progress on the Local Plan has been slow, and we had been trying to bring the site forward as part of that process.

Due to the ongoing delays and subsequent withdrawal, combined with Solihull Council’s lack of housing land supply, we have now submitted an outline planning application to the council (December 2025).  The application will be available to view on the Council’s planning portal once validated.

The original proposals were for up to 150 homes.

We are now bringing forward a smaller, revised scheme for up to 80 homes.

The scheme includes 50% affordable housing and a children’s play area.  Homes will be limited to 2.5 storeys across the site.

An outline planning application seeks to establish whether the scale and nature of a proposed development would be acceptable to the local planning authority, before a second fully detailed planning application is put forward, which is called a Reserved Matters.
