Many thanks to the team at the Land, Planning and Development Federation for hosting their Annual Policy Conference.

The LPDF delivered a strong programme, with insightful sessions covering market trends, legal updates and the evolving planning landscape. It was also great to see Minister of State Matthew Pennycook MP take to the stage to provide an update on the housing agenda.

The jam packed day featured:

  • A data-led market update from Emily Williams and Christopher Buckle of Savills

  • Insightful legal context from Zack Simons KC on the C G Fry Supreme Court judgment

  • A thought-provoking panel chaired by Andrew Taylor FRTPI with Kathryn Ventham, Jack Airey, Simon Ricketts and Andy Gutherson, exploring how we can improve decision-making and outcomes in the current system

The day continued with high-quality contributions from Rupert Warren KC on promoting development in the new plan system, Nina Pindham on Part 3 of the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, and a comprehensive update from Lord Banner KC, followed by Q&A with LPDF Chairman Paul Brocklehurst on the future direction of planning reform.

As always a stellar event and seamless organisation, rounded off perfectly with some early Christmas drinks!
