Women in Construction Week is an important initiative that enables us to recognise and celebrate the contributions of women working across our industry.

At Catesby Estates and our parent company Urban&Civic, we recognise that much of the sector has historically been male-dominated.

We are committed to playing our part in helping to create greater gender equity across the industry. Meaningful change will not happen overnight, and we are taking a multi-layered and long-term approach to how we contribute to this progress.

Our approach has included:

  • Designing inclusive recruitment processes that attract a diverse pool of applicants and promote equal opportunities for all. By broadening our outreach, we aim to support a more gender-balanced workforce across the organisation.
  • Supporting women within the business to develop and progress their careers, including into senior roles, through tailored support, mentoring programmes and the continued development of an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Engaging with the next generation, helping to inspire and support young women to bring their talent and skills into both our business and the wider industry through outreach work with schools and youth groups.Women in Construction 2026

We are proud to see members of the Catesby team actively supporting and championing this initiative, including Victoria Groves – Area Planning Director, Natasha Brand – Senior Land Manager and Anna Parsons – Design Director who continue to play an important role in driving change and representation within both the business and the wider sector.

This  video features them alongside Urban&Civic colleagues, sharing their experiences and perspectives.
