Catesby Estates plc have successfully completed the sale of a residential development site in Abingdon, Oxfordshire to David Wilson Homes.

Outline planning consent was granted in February 2018 by the Vale of White Horse District Council’s Planning Committee, who unanimously voted to follow the Planning Officer’s recommendations for approval.

The 15 acre site located off Dunmore Road was removed from the Green Belt and allocated for residential development in the adopted Local Plan.  The site has consent for 200 new homes with 35% affordable housing provision.

Myron Osborne, Land & Development Director at Catesby Estates said;  "We are delighted to have completed Catesby Estates first land sale to David Wilson Homes.  David Wilson Homes have an excellent reputation for delivering high quality new homes, and with over 120 people registering interest in new homes during the planning process, we expect demand from local residents to be high."

"This new residential scheme was sensitively designed and has a range of community benefits including, highways improvements, public open space and children’s play areas."
