Kedleston Voice has been refused permission by the Court of Appeal to take their case to the Supreme Court, challenging the decision to reinstate planning permission for new homes in Allestree.
The judgment made by three Lord & Lady Justices at the Court of Appeal back in July ruled in favour of Catesby Estates who plan to deliver 400 new homes on the site off Kedleston Road.
Paul Brocklehurst, Chief Executive of Catesby Estates said “It is now clear that the Court of Appeal do not believe that Kedleston Voice have a robust case to pursue.”
“Their ongoing delaying tactics are denying local people who don’t own a house or are currently on the housing register the chance to find a place to call home. We hope they reconsider their position moving forward, so that we can deliver much needed housing in Allestree.”
