Catesby Estates plc, is pleased to announce Central Bedfordshire Council, has resolved to grant outline planning permission for 90 new homes on a 12.7 acre site located on land east of Ivel Road, Shefford.

Following extensive pre-application discussions, Planning Committee members voted to support Officer’s recommendation to approve the application on the site, which forms an emerging allocation in the submission version of the Local Plan.

Dawn Adams, in-house Planning Manager for Catesby Estates oversaw the application for this sensitively designed scheme which included 35% affordable housing, along with land for either a new primary school or should the preferred site come forward, this will be retained as community woodland.

Once permission is received the site will be sold to a housebuilder, with a view to first residents taking occupation in late 2020.
