Land Use In England 2017

Experimental statistics issued by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) provides summaries of developed and non-developed land uses and land use within designated green belt.

Key headline figures:

  • 92% of England is classed as non- developed

  • 1.09% of land in England is used for residential use

  • 13% of England designated as Green Belt in 2017

Land use in some Local Authority areas where Catesby have sites:

  • Tendering - 8% developed (1.36% residential use)

  • Waverley - 9% developed (1.21% residential use)

  • Babergh - 5% developed (0.5 % residential use)

  • Warwick -11% developed (1.45% residential use)
